Atlanta Family Photographer | California Cuties

These adorable sisters belong to my good friend, Carrie Sandoval, and have been featured on my blog many times. These were taken during my visit to CA back in April. A lot of times during my visits I am caught up with working and other things so I sometimes forget to take the time and point my camera in their direction. I am so glad I made the effort this go round. I have known these girls for a good portion of their lives and it is so much fun to watch them grow into the amazing people they have become.  Thanks for humoring me girlies! xoxo

Atlanta Family Photographer | A Mother’s Day gift.

These are my older brother’s 3 children. I am sure you have seen them before if you ever visit my blog but this is probably the first time any of you have seen my brother! He isn’t a huge fan of having his picture taken – I mean seriously, you would think he is being tortured. So, naturally, I was a bit nervous (and maybe dreading it a bit) when my mom told me they were coming up for a visit and all she wanted for Mother’s Day was a picture of his whole family. My brother was none too thrilled either when he heard the news. Ha. He gave me about 5 minutes and I couldn’t be happier with the resulting image. Did I actually capture my brother pleasantly smiling and looking into the camera?  Yep, I think I did.

Happy Mother’s Day (and early birthday) Mom!!!

The Happy Traveler | My little friend, PJ | Atlanta Children’s Photographer

Oh, this kid, seriously. She is absolutely one of the coolest kids around and so much fun! While I was in CA a few weeks ago I spent an afternoon with PJ and her sweet  Mom in downtown San Diego. We ran all over  – shooting in really fun locations with PJ in the coolest clothes. I swear, she has a better wardrobe that anyone I know. I am jealous…of an 8 year old! Ha!

Thanks for hanging out guys. I can’t wait until next time!!

Atlanta Children’s Photographer | Gunnar-Bear

For those of you who frequent my blog, you  probably recognize this handsome guy. I have been photographing Gunnar every year since he was 4 years old. He turns 10 in just a few days. That just seems crazy to me. How is it possible that the years fly by so quickly?! We ended up  including 2 of Gunnar’s pets in this session and he was stoked! Actually, we had not intended to include his puppy, Sky, but she had other plans. :) I absolutely love the resulting images so it was fine by me!. There isn’t much that is sweeter than the love between a boy and his dog.  Wouldn’t you agree?

I will be seeing (and photographing!) this sweet family again soon when they welcome Gunnar’s new little brother this summer! I am so excited for them I could just burst.

Thanks again for choosing me, as always it was a pleasure!

The Happy Traveler | After dinner entertainment.

I’m out in California for a couple of weeks and just had  a weekend visit with my dear friend Leah and her awesome family.  On my first night there we went out to dinner at an amazing restaurant called Gabbi’s in downtown Orange. Seriously the best shrimp enchiladas and margaritas EVER! But I digress…

After our yummy meal we popped in to the army/navy store where twins, Kate and Joe, saw the hats and sunglasses they just HAD to have! They were feeling super cool so naturally I had to stop them and take a few photos along with their big brother,Ben. I just love these guys — such characters!

Stay tuned for more from my visit with them. :)

Atlanta Children’s Photographer | You are my sunshine.

My Lily sunshine…

Oh Lily…my little ray of light. She can bring a smile to my face on even the darkest of days. She’s silly, funny, charming, sweet, a little crazy and so full of life it is pretty much bursting out of her. So very grateful for this kid. xoxo

Atlanta Baby Photographer | The littlest sister

The last time I blogged photos of Charlotte she was just a wee little newborn. Now she is 8 months old!! I can’t even believe it. How cute is she? Those big eyes of hers just kill me. So sweet. The whole family is really quite smitten with her (especially her big brother).  I’m sure you can all see why. :-)

Happy Monday!! Enjoy your week everyone!

Atlanta Children’s Photographer | Lily grows.

This is my little cousin, Lily. I am sure you have seen her face around here many times. On her first birthday, back in 2010, I took a photo of her in the green chair that sits in her room. I have taken one on about the same day every year since and plan to continue this little tradition as long as she will let me. It is so much fun to have photo documentation of her on pretty much the same date year after year.  I can’t wait to see year 30! (Actually I can wait because that will mean I am pushing 60! lol)

Lily, it is such a pleasure and honor watching you grow You make my heart so happy. xoxo

Atlanta Family Photographer | Just love.

Oh this family. They are 5 of the most awesome people I know and I am so blessed to be able to call them my friends. I just returned last night from a week long visit with them at their home in Tampa, Florida… a way too short week long visit I might add. I took these photos in a span of about 15 minutes during the last light of the day right out in front of their home. Nothing fancy, just them being who they are and loving each other. In my opinion, these are some of the very best kind of images.

It doesn’t matter what you are wearing or whether or not you have had time to get your hair done or if you have some perfect location in mind….it is just important to capture and document the love your family shares. I promise you will be so glad you did.

Thanks again Schwedhelm family. I miss you already.

xoxo
