Atlanta Family Photographer | On the move.

Little Daniel’s mom contacted me a few months ago looking to have a family photo shoot before they made their big move from Atlanta to Costa Rica! We chose Piedmont Park (our version of Central Park) because we wanted to make sure we captured quintessential Atlanta — where they met, fell in love and started their family. We had a blast. And though mom described Daniel as a quiet observer he had us running laps all over the park!

Thank you guys so much for choosing me to photograph this special time in your lives. I hope you are enjoying the sun and sand in Costa Rica. I am more than happy to fly there for our next shoot. ;)

Atlanta Children’s Photographer | Gunnar-Bear

For those of you who frequent my blog, you  probably recognize this handsome guy. I have been photographing Gunnar every year since he was 4 years old. He turns 10 in just a few days. That just seems crazy to me. How is it possible that the years fly by so quickly?! We ended up  including 2 of Gunnar’s pets in this session and he was stoked! Actually, we had not intended to include his puppy, Sky, but she had other plans. :) I absolutely love the resulting images so it was fine by me!. There isn’t much that is sweeter than the love between a boy and his dog.  Wouldn’t you agree?

I will be seeing (and photographing!) this sweet family again soon when they welcome Gunnar’s new little brother this summer! I am so excited for them I could just burst.

Atlanta Family Photographer | Goodbye 2012!

and hello 2013!!!

Man, am I ever behind on my blogging!! I do have a somewhat reasonable excuse though – it was a very busy holiday season for Jen Wright Photography and I am beyond grateful. :) I photographed so many beautiful, fun families! I am always hesitant to blog anything during that time because I do not want to ruin the big holiday card reveal for the families when the time comes. But now that the new year has rung and the cards have all been sent out I am so excited to be able to share some of my favorite family images captured this past season.  I hope you all enjoy them! HAPPY 2013!!!!!

Travel Session – San Diego Children’s Photographer | Miss Ivy

This is the 2nd time I have had the privilege of photographing 9 year old Ivy. The day was running a bit late so we were struggling with lack of light at the end but all-in-all I think  we got some great stuff! Although, I was super bummed to realize that all of the files had not transferred from my camera to computer so I lost the last set up we did. It was SUPER cute. I’ll just have to go back out to CA again soon and try again :)  The up-side is that pretty much any set-up you do with Ivy is a super cute one.

Catch Ivy in the new Old Navy commercial with Joan Rivers and Mario Cantone. Pretty exciting!!!

Travel Session – San Diego Children’s Photographer | Model Three

3 kids. 3 outfit changes. 1 hour. This session was quick and crazy but oh SO much fun! These 3 siblings are just as sweet and charming as they are gorgeous. We also captured some adorable shots of all of them together but we are keeping those under wraps until after holiday card time. :)

San Diego Children’s Photographer | Handsome Lucas

I simply could not get over Lucas’ red hair and stunning green eyes, so absolutely unique and so handsome. He is also super talented. This kid does ballet, tap and hip-hop! Unfortunately for me, we did not have time for him to show me any of his moves. Definitely next time! Thanks for coming to hang out Julie and Lucas! I hope you love your images! <3 <3 <3

Atlanta Family Photographer | Lay Baby Lay (and a giveaway!)

Talk about a sweet, fun, adorable little family!! I have known Joni since high school and it was so great to reconnect with her all of these years later (oye) and spend time her, her husband Chip and their little Vivi. Their crew of 3 will soon become 4 when Vivi becomes a big sister in January!

Joni is the owner of  Lay Baby Lay which is a blog dedicated to amazing and fun ideas for nursery designs and such. Joni has such an incredible eye for design and really comes up with some unique stuff. We decided to come together and co-host a giveaway over at Lay Baby Lay. Up for grabs? San Diego Child Photographer | Model Maylie

I photographed Maylie in June while I was out in California. They were looking for some updated images for her comp cards. I am sure you will recognize Maylie’s cousin, PJ, who made a cameo during this shoot. I have photographed her several times before. Does this family have some stunning people in it or what?! Atlanta Children’s Photographer | Vayda

Beautiful little Vayda’s mom told me that she had been looking through her photo albums and noticed that she barely had any photographs of her daughter without sunglasses or hats (her favorite accessories). She went in search of a photographer to capture Vayda for her very first professional photo shoot and found me! I couldn’t be more thrilled that she did. I had SO much fun during their session. They were up for absolutely anything and it made for some beautiful images and an amazing afternoon.”.
