Spent Sunday afternoon hanging out with my crazy, sweet, hilarious nephew and his mommy and daddy at the park.  This kid is SUCH a trip and says and does the funniest things. He really is a fun dude to hang out with….usually. He has been known to have epic toddler meltdowns from time to time.  I am headed to California for 3 weeks starting tomorrow so I wanted to make sure I took some photos of him before I left.

This is my niece, she was born when I was eleven years old.  I remember almost every detail about that day…what I was wearing, how I felt…so beyond excited and so completely full of love for her. I thought she was pretty much the coolest thing to ever happen to any 11 yr old.  Now, here we are…18 years later and I still think she is one of the coolest things to ever happen to me. You know the old adage ” You can choose your friends, but you can’t choose your family”? Well, I really lucked out with her!

Are you guys sick of her yet!? Hopefully the answer is no, because CLEARLY I am not. I have been so enjoying take photos of her. She is just the sweetest little baby. In the photos above she was sick and not feeling well at all and you can’t even tell with that gorgeous little face. I am headed to California for three weeks next thursday so I am trying to take pictures of her every day until then.  I am worried that when I get back she will be grown up and running away from me  Stay tuned.

Snapped a couple of photos of my sweet cousins, Aidan and Lily, before heading to the movies with my mom the other day.  I seriously wish  I could spend every day photographing baby Lily… before I know it she will be crawling away from me and avoiding that big black box in front of my face. If I had my say, someone in my family would have a 6-9mth old at all times. Ha.

I’m spending this weekend down in South Georgia, where I grew up, visiting family and friends.  I am also going to take my niece’s senior pictures while here so stay tuned for that!!!

The one thing I REALLY wanted for my birthday was to be able to take my 7 month old cousin out and get some photos of her.  She is at the perfect age right now. Perfectly content sitting wherever you put her and unable to crawl away Plus, she is absolutely scrumptious!!! So I took her outside while everyone else was inside preparing a delicious birthday dinner for me and snapped a few sweet photos of her. I had just recently gotten that old high chair at an antique store near my mom’s house and  I had been itching to use it!

Then on Sunday we took the youngest two and headed over to an awesome trail/nature preserve that had the most awesome little yellow flowers everywhere!!! It really made me miss living here in California. We just don’t have things like this in Georgia.  I was in photographer’s heaven! Gorgeous, sweet models and a ridiculously beautiful location.  Below are just a few of the resulting photographs:

I just got back from a trip to Idaho to visit a very dear friend of mine and her family. I have known her two oldest girls (the blond and brunette together) since they were 2  and 3 years old. Now, here we are…almost 10 years later and she now has a ‘bonus’ daughter (the girl in the first photos) and a 20mth old. What a fun, gorgeous group they are huh? Unfortunately we didn’t get a photo of all 4 girls this time. Trying to schedule all of the girls to be in the same place at the same time proved to be pretty impossible. I guess I will just have to go back for another visit

Sorry for the photo overload! I was thrilled with this session and had so much fun doing it. I have known Brittany since she was 4yrs old so I was super excited when her mom called and wanted to hire me to take her senior photos. We cruised all over downtown on a hot saturday afternoon and Britt was such a trooper and so much fun to work with.  It was really easy to take her photo because she is such a gorgeous girl to begin with!! When the session was coming to an end her mom came by with her 3yr old sister and we had a little mini session with her. Such a gorgeous, fun little family. Thanks so much for the day guys. Britt is has been such a pleasure watching you grow over these past 13 years. I wish you all the best girlie! xoxo
