Atlanta Newborn Photographer | Baby Brigette

Big Sister Vivi with Grandma “JeeJee”

Meet sweet, baby Brigette. She is the newest member of this adorable family. I went for a visit a week or so ago to capture a few images of their new little love. Brigette was feeling a little out of sorts and I had an appointment that afternoon so we had to cut our little photo shoot short but I love the sweet  shots of her face  and the cuddles with mommy that we were able to capture. I will definitely have to go back for another visit soon for a photograph of Brigette with her adorable older sister, Vivi. Until next time Lay family…Thanks for sharing the new love of your lives. :)

Atlanta Children’s Photographer | You are my sunshine.

My Lily sunshine…

Oh Lily…my little ray of light. She can bring a smile to my face on even the darkest of days. She’s silly, funny, charming, sweet, a little crazy and so full of life it is pretty much bursting out of her. So very grateful for this kid. xoxo

A little Tuesday morning pep talk.

Be awesome, not boring.   :)

Enjoy!

Atlanta Photographer | Imaging USA 2013

Last week I attended PPA’s (Professional Photographers of America) annual conference – Imaging USA. Each year the conference is held in a differet city, and I was thrilled that this year it was in my city of Atlanta! How thoughtful of them, right? :) What an amazing and filled to the brim 3 days it was. Time spent hanging out with old friends (good friends who will walk you to your car late at night in scary downtown Atlanta), meeting new ones and learning from some of the best the industry has to offer.

I have a notebook FULL of  wisdom I gathered during the classes I attended. I’ve read over and over them and decided on the five most important things I learned and I would like to share them with you. I mean after all…sharing is caring, right?!  So here goes.

#1  Schedule time to exercise your creativity. Shoot for you.

#2  Stop comparing yourself to others.

#3  Never stop learning

#4  Know your numbers (this should probably be #1) ;-)

#5  Have a plan and hustle… just when you think you can’t work any harder… WORK HARDER!

This truly an amazing experience.  I feel renewed and excited and ready to take on 2013 and make it my best year yet! :)  I hope you all will join me!

Atlanta Baby Photographer | The littlest sister

The last time I blogged photos of Charlotte she was just a wee little newborn. Now she is 8 months old!! I can’t even believe it. How cute is she? Those big eyes of hers just kill me. So sweet. The whole family is really quite smitten with her (especially her big brother).  I’m sure you can all see why. :-)

Happy Monday!! Enjoy your week everyone!

Atlanta Children’s Photographer | Lily grows.

This is my little cousin, Lily. I am sure you have seen her face around here many times. On her first birthday, back in 2010, I took a photo of her in the green chair that sits in her room. I have taken one on about the same day every year since and plan to continue this little tradition as long as she will let me. It is so much fun to have photo documentation of her on pretty much the same date year after year.  I can’t wait to see year 30! (Actually I can wait because that will mean I am pushing 60! lol)

Lily, it is such a pleasure and honor watching you grow You make my heart so happy. xoxo

Atlanta Family Photographer | Goodbye 2012!

and hello 2013!!!

Man, am I ever behind on my blogging!! I do have a somewhat reasonable excuse though – it was a very busy holiday season for Jen Wright Photography and I am beyond grateful. :) I photographed so many beautiful, fun families! I am always hesitant to blog anything during that time because I do not want to ruin the big holiday card reveal for the families when the time comes. But now that the new year has rung and the cards have all been sent out I am so excited to be able to share some of my favorite family images captured this past season.  I hope you all enjoy them! HAPPY 2013!!!!!

Atlanta Family Photographer | Just love.

Oh this family. They are 5 of the most awesome people I know and I am so blessed to be able to call them my friends. I just returned last night from a week long visit with them at their home in Tampa, Florida… a way too short week long visit I might add. I took these photos in a span of about 15 minutes during the last light of the day right out in front of their home. Nothing fancy, just them being who they are and loving each other. In my opinion, these are some of the very best kind of images.

It doesn’t matter what you are wearing or whether or not you have had time to get your hair done or if you have some perfect location in mind….it is just important to capture and document the love your family shares. I promise you will be so glad you did.

Thanks again Schwedhelm family. I miss you already.

xoxo

Travel Session – San Diego Children’s Photographer | Miss Ivy

This is the 2nd time I have had the privilege of photographing 9 year old Ivy. The day was running a bit late so we were struggling with lack of light at the end but all-in-all I think  we got some great stuff! Although, I was super bummed to realize that all of the files had not transferred from my camera to computer so I lost the last set up we did. It was SUPER cute. I’ll just have to go back out to CA again soon and try again :)  The up-side is that pretty much any set-up you do with Ivy is a super cute one.

Catch Ivy in the new Old Navy commercial with Joan Rivers and Mario Cantone. Pretty exciting!!!

Thanks for coming out Ivy and Amy!! See you again soon!

Travel Session – San Diego Children’s Photographer | Model Three

3 kids. 3 outfit changes. 1 hour. This session was quick and crazy but oh SO much fun! These 3 siblings are just as sweet and charming as they are gorgeous. We also captured some adorable shots of all of them together but we are keeping those under wraps until after holiday card time. :)

Thanks for coming out to play “S” kids. Can’t wait until next time!
