Atlanta Baby Photographer | Sky is turning 1!!

Most of you will probably recognize this gorgeous little one from previous photo shoots I have had with her. She is the daughter of a dear family friend and will be turning 1 year old in less than a week! I was so happy to be able to spend some time with them and capture some adorable shots of little Sky as she approaches this awesome milestone.

I actually just realized that I forgot to ever blog these next images that I shot of her back in May of this year. So I guess now is as good a time as any. Happy 1st Birthday Sky!!!!!!

Atlanta Child Photographer | Ivy + Paige

Wow! This might be the most image heavy blog post I have ever posted!! I had so much fun with these girlies that I just couldn’t narrow it down! Remember this shoot? Well, afterwards I became addicted to photographing a child who enjoys being in front of a camera so I asked PJ’s mom if she knew of anyone else who was a complete and total ham. Then she introduced me to Ivy…a total photographer’s dream!! As soon as I saw her I knew I just had to get her in front of my camera. Total natural and charming to boot!

Atlanta Baby Photographer | Baby Grayson

This adorable little guy belongs to a very good friend of mine. She and I met when we spent 5 weeks in Italy together during a study abroad program in 2003 and have been close every since. They live in Colorado now but are here visiting family for the summer.  Her husband is currently serving our country in Afghanistan and will be gone for a year. I am so happy that he will be able to see these photos and catch a little glimpse of a growing Grayson from so far away.

Atlanta Baby Photographer | The littlest cousin

I am sure anyone who frequents my blog will recognize this little cutie!! My youngest cousin, Lily. She has been one of my best models since the day she was born and I just adore her. These are photos I have taken of her over the past couple of months that I have not yet had a chance to share. In the last little set she is wearing a dress worn by her mommy, aunt and me when we were all about her age. Enjoy!! :)

Atlanta Child Photographer | PJ – Part I

I have been dying to photograph this adorable, spunky little girl for a while now. So I asked her mom if she wanted to bring her around for a visit yesterday.  She graciously agreed and came to Fallbrook with PJ and selections from her awesome wardrobe in tow. We had SO much fun!! Atlanta Child Photographer | The “Z” three

I am embarrassed by how long it took me to blog these images. These were taken during my last visit with my friend, Leah Zawadzki and her gorgeous family back in mid-April. The first one of Joe is now one of my all-time favorite images. As a lot of you know, I have struggled a lot with the D700 and when I took that shot and looked at the raw file it was almost perfect. I barely had to do any editing to it and I was so stoked – it felt like a turning point for me. I had gotten so comfortable with my Canon and was waiting for the time when I felt that way about the Nikon…I think I am finally there, or much closer at least. :)

I’m headed back for another few days with them at the end of the month so stay tuned for photos from that visit (hopefully it won’t take me quite as long to blog them)! Thanks for looking!!!

Atlanta Child Photographer | Niece and Nephew

Ok – I am blogging a little out of order here and will come back to my CA posts soon, but I had family that was really wanting to see these pics!

I am so lucky to have some of the cutest kids in my life! Now, if only those cute kids would be willing to let me photograph them all the time :)

My niece, Peyton, is 4 years old and is my brother’s youngest child. They live a pretty good ways from us so I was super excited when they came up for a visit AND she let me snap a few pics of her. The only time we had was around noon on a Sunday – and we all know that noon light can be tricky. I think we pulled it off though!!

My nephew, Gavin, is 3 years old and is my sister’s only child (so far). He lives closer to me so my camera is on him quite a bit and lately he has not been a fan of it at all!! But on these 2 days depicted above he was being so sweet and such a little poser. Could just eat him up, especially when he is like that :)
