When Evie’s mom reached out to schedule this milestone session, she had one big concern: the Georgia heat. I totally get it—summers here can be pretty intense, and no one wants to spend an hour sweating it out, especially with a one-year-old in tow. I assured them that we’d take things slow, at Evie’s pace, with plenty of breaks to keep everyone comfortable. But as it turns out, the heat wasn’t the biggest challenge that day—it was the mosquitoes! Despite the unexpected company, Evie handled the entire shoot like a champ.
Welcoming a newborn into the world is an incredible experience filled with love, joy, and yes, a fair bit of anxiety + chaos. With everything going on, it’s easy for time to fly by, and before you know it, your tiny baby isn’t so tiny anymore. That’s why capturing those precious first moments with newborn photography is so important.
The first time I photographed Anna Clare she was 8 years old – and now she is a stunning 18-year-old giving off strong Blake Lively vibes – and about to graduate high-school!
This was my 3rd session with the family featured in this blog post and it was a really special one. They were moving out of the only house their girls had ever called home so they wanted to be sure to document that…
As I’m sure you can tell from these photographs, this little girl is crazy amounts of fun! I met Eden and her parents for our session on a very hot, VERY humid August day to celebrate Eden’s recent 4th birthday. We laughed and played tag and rolled around in the grass and sweat…a lot…but we had the absolute best time! Eden is so full of personality and makes the best, most expressive faces. I think three and four year old’s are my favorite age to photograph because they are so honest and open and unapologetically themselves — but still old enough to be bribed a little if need be
